Rob Montierth is Co-founder and Managing Partner at Soteris, bringing over fifteen years of wealth management experience delivering thoughtful, client-centered financial guidance to individuals and families.

He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC®) through the College for Financial Planning Institutes Corp., and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® (CPFA™) with the National Association of Plan Advisors, reflecting his commitment to comprehensive planning and the highest fiduciary standards.

Prior to Soteris, Rob spent fifteen years at Merrill Lynch in Walnut Creek, California, where he and Josh managed a practice serving more than 100 accomplished families and overseeing approximately $800 million in assets under management, with a focus on comprehensive financial planning and retirement strategies. The hallmark of their approach has always been understanding not only the financial goals of clients, but also the values they hold most dear. Rob’s experience in retirement plans helps clients evaluate their best options for planning for the future.

Rob began his career in finance at Pension Specialists, Inc., where he developed deep expertise as a third-party administrator of 401(k) and defined benefit retirement plans.

Rob earned his degree in History with an emphasis on European Economics from Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude. He is an Eagle Scout, fluent in French, and tries his best at Spanish.

Outside the office, Rob’s priority is his family. He lives in Danville, California with his wife, Marisa, and their three children, who span high school, middle school, and elementary school. He is an active volunteer through his children’s schools, coaches youth sports, and is a deeply committed “dance dad.” Experiencing new adventures and cultures with his family is his favorite way to spend his free time.
